What a joy it is to share with you a little bit about Horeb Ministries!

We firmly believe that God has called us to be a vehicle to help others know the word of God; just as Moses received the Word on Mount Horeb with the purpose that many lives would change and would be a blessing for their community and nation.

Erin Tomme de Poou arrived in Guatemala from the state of Virginia in 2004.  She had first visited Guatemala in 2002 on a short term mission trip and decided to move there two years later to serve with a ministry.  During her 9 ½ years at that ministry, she taught classes in their private school, was in charge of short term missions teams who arrived, and served as the Director of Finance.

Rolando Poou is a Guatemalan missionary and has been preaching for 23 years.  His work has consisted in supervising churches in the rural areas of Guatemala, coordinating seminars to train pastors in those rural areas from all denominations, and preaching the word of God wherever he is given the opportunity to present the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Both Rolando and Erin developed ministry in different areas, but God in His sovereignty has permitted them to come together.  Since they were married in 2013 they have been able to serve the Lord together in the rural communities of Guatemala.  Together they have formed Horeb Ministries, creating opportunities for children and adults to change their lives.
