Evangelism

We have a heavy burden for evangelism. Our desire is that people would come to know Jesus Christ in every area of Guatemala even out to the ends of the earth.

The evangelistic efforts are done in the churches we visit weekly by preaching the Good News, face to face with individuals we meet, home visits, open air services, and through the Awanas program in our children’s library where each week they hear more about how they can know their Savior.

We’ve had the privilege of seeing people come to know Christ. Here are two short testimonies of those life changing moments.

“In 2015 we held a youth conference on purity. 45 teenagers were present. One of those teens was Danny. He accepted Christ that night without telling anyone! Two months later he confessed to us that he had made the decision that night to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and today he continues to grow in his Christian faith. He is part of a discipleship group that Rolando holds each week where they learn to grow closer to the Lord through the scriptures. He also volunteers with the Awanas program each Friday.”

“In December of 2016, after a pastor friend of ours from the United States had given an evangelistic message, he made the invitation to the congregation to come forward and accept Christ. All of sudden a small child raised his hand and said ‘I want to give my life to Jesus’. His father’s eyes filled with tears as he watched his 5 year old son Lucas accept the Lord. Many times we question whether a child that young can make such an important decision. But we reminded Lucas’s father that many of the greatest preachers to have ever existed gave their lives to Christ at a young age.”
